Mest One Analysis

The setting of the scene is at a highschool, this helps us identify the genre of this movie which is teen comedy. This is also shown by the type of clothing the characters are wearing, very casual and 'student like', aswell as backpaks.
According to the narrative theory of todorov, this scene shows us the disequilibrium in the movie, when the main characters come across something unexpected and lands them in trouble. The disequilibrium in this film is when fogell aquires a fake ID and names himself McLovin. This angers seth especially as he planned on getting becky drunk to sleep with her. This refers to her as a stereotype as women are often seen as sexual objects and only used for one thing. Again this is a stereotype as this type of genre often revolves around drug abuse, sex and 'getting laid'
Another stereotype is used with the name 'mohammed', fogell says 'mohammed is the most commanly used name on earth'. This is a racial stereotype which is used to create humour.
The target audience of this movie is the same as the characters, which are teenagers. They can relate to this as they also go through the same struggles in life such as aquiring alcohol, this is a method of lines of appeal. The need for alocohol at a house party appeals to the target audience.
