Hitman Poster Analysis

The mise en scene of the poster is lustful red silk around a dead womens body. This connotes blood and violence due to the color red, this is backed up by the visal image of a dead womens body. Stereotypically women are often shown as sexual images, this is shown in the main image of the poster. Even though she hasbeen shot in the head, she is shown in sexual clothing in a sensual mise en scene, which lives with the stereotype. The themes of the narrative looking at this poster would be action thriller, as there is perhaps guns involved alongside death. Another theme that could be considered is betrayel and love.

The audience can expect there to be death in this narrative, this is fulfilled by the dead womens body aswel as the gunshot mark in her forehead. The character is shown dead but still with an elegent beauty. This implies to us that she could be more than she just looks, which is a sexual object, enigma codes create questions in our minds such as why has she been killed? this helps grip us as an audience.

The target audience, clearly is over 18's, i say clearly as there is an 18 plus certificate on the cover. However eeven if thi was not there, the generic conventions such as death, murder, betrayel and love all show us it wuld be an 18 plus audience range. The audience can expect maybe many twists in the narrative, for she could be femme fatal, where the female is dominant through the narrative which may be why she was murdered. The representation of the character is not very accurate, as modern films and narrative structures do not all show women being a stereotypical sexual object, or even worse a housewife like they used to be shown. However it could be accurate ccording to the game's context.
